About Maple Hill Community Fire Department
The Maple Hill Community Fire Department's area of responsibility is 146 square miles (download our district map below) and supports other area fire departments by providing mutual aid to most of Cook County, Minnesota.
Due to our unique physical location within the county: MHCFD provides mutual aid, when needed, to the Gun Flint Trail Fire Department, the Grand Marais city Fire Department, the Covill Fire Department, and the US Forrest Service. When factoring in all the other fire departments that MHCFD supports, the total land area surpasses 1,000 square miles.
